Alcatel, the French mobile phone vendor are
more often released smartphones for entry-level class, will launch a smartphone which ready to compete for the high
end segment. The latest series from Alcatel has a code
name of the OT-986, and when viewed at a glance the design will remind us of
the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, but the new Alcatel device has a smaller screen size,
which is 4.5 inches.
If viewed from the specifications, like
other high end smartphones the OT-986 run on Android 4.0 ICS operating system,
strengthened by dual-core TI OMAP 4660 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with 1GB
RAM memory and also PowerVR SGX540 GPU clock at 384MHz.
The Alcatel OT986 will appear with the
support of 4.5-inch IPS display 1280 x 720 HD, and has two cameras : 5 MP rear
camera and 2Mp front camera for video call, as well as 8GB of internal memory,
with microSD card slot for memory expansion.
This device has a fairly slim body, with a
thickness of only 9.75mm, weighs around 149 grams and not equipped with a
physical keypad. This smartphone will be available next month and will be first
marketed in China with a price of 1999 Yuan, or about 315 USD/250 EUR.
