YTL Communications (4G mobile internet provider from Malaysia) and GCT Semiconductor (4G mobile semiconductor solutions), has just released a smartphone and knwon as Yes Eclipse. This device is claimed the World's First WiMAX+HSPA 4G Smartphone and allow users to use the regular mobile communications and IP-telephony capabilities.
You can get the Eclipse, for free with 24 months contract with 7GB of data, free calls/SMS within Yes network and 1000 free SMS/minutes of voice calls and also offer other plan. Seen from the design the Eclipse is a black candybar smartphone with a thickness of only 12.9mm and weight about 135grams, also present wide screen 4.1" WVGA multi-touch.
The Eclipse run on Android Froyo and powered by 1GHz Snapdragon processor whose performance is also supported by 512MB ram memory. behind we will find 5 Megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash features, also 0.3 Megapixel front camera for video chat.
The Eclipse has an internal memory capacity of 2GB ROM, which can be uprgrade via Micro SD card up to 32GB capacity. Other features offer are Micro-USB, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi ,GPS, USB 2.0, 3.5mm stereo audio jack and 1500mAh Li-Polymer battery.
