HTC Sensation(Review)-Dual Core Android Gingerbread Smartphone

HTC Sensation is an Android smartphone with Dual Core processors, which can be regarded as a competitor of the Samsung Galaxy SII and LG Optimus 2x. 

Design : When viewed from the design, these devices has weighs approximately 148 grams heavier than the Galaxy S II is only 116 grams. However, a heavy mobile phone also has its own advantages, which feels solid, comfortable grip and sturdy. The HTC Sensation use premium material with aluminum body which at the edges rounded and  on the back of the body is a combination of rubber and stainless makes it look exclusive and elegant.

On the front, below is similar to the Nexus S with the touch buttons, glossy panel, and the curve characteristic at the corner of the smartphone. On the front top, there is a light sensor, earpiece, notification LED lights and front camera. Micro USB port also came with on this phone, but the micro SD slot is hidden inside.

Screen : The HTC Sensation come with 4.3-inch touch screen Super LCD display with a high-resolution qHD(quarter HD) 960x540pixels. The Interface(HTC Sense 3.0) used by the HTC Sensation is very different from the Gingerbread standard, and also easy to customize the UI, scrolling and swiping very smoothly without any lag.

Although the screen is locked you can easily get into the application you want. The trick, move and put the application icon that’s you want on the homescreen to the bottom of the screen, and there is a half-circle and navigate the application icon into the circle, and the application will automatically open.

Camera : The HTC Sensation equipped with 8 megapixel color camera with auto focus and dual LED flash features and capable to 1080p HD video recording. This device is not equipped with a camera button, but its quite easy to photograph and practical, even if in locked mode. Same way on the above, in the locked mode you only need to enter the camera icon to the circle at the bottom of the screen, and will open the camera application.

The features on this camera are self timer, scenes, image adjustment, white balance, ISO, resolution, review, face detection and grid. And a variety of effects such as Distortion, vignette, depth of field, vintage, vintage warm, cold vintage, grayscale, sepia, Negative, Solarize, Posterize, Aqua..

While for the video recorder, among others are the effects, scene, image adjustment, white balance and stereo recording for audio(allows the recording left and right are different, to create the surround effect). 

In addition to the rear camera, the device also has a VGA fixed focus color front camera, for video call.

Connectivity : The HTC Sensation work on Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE :850/900/1800/1900 MHz and HSPA/WCDMA : 900/2100Mhz, and equipped with Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi tethering (WiFi Hotspot) and USB. For those of you who like to surf the web the 3G channel capable of running up to 14.4 Mbps download speed and up to 5.76 Mbps upload speed.

Performance : The HTC Sensation run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, and powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor with 768MB Ram memory. HTC also provides the Sensation smartphone with a storage capacity of 1GB Internal phone storage, that can still be expanded through microSD.

To support all activities on these devices, the HTC Sensation has 1520 mAh rechargeable lithium-ion battery, are able to talk time of up to up to 420 minutes(WCDMA), up to 500 minutes(GSM) and up to 525 hours(WCDMA), up to 285 hours(GSM) for standby time.
