Sony Ericsson Xperia Active Billabong Edition-Suitable for Extreme Sports Enthusiasts

Sony Ericsson reported have a new variant of the Xperia Active series, and cooperate with the Billabong to produce a smartphone that has a name the Xperia active Billabong Edition. the Billabong itself is an extreme sports equipment company which you may already know.

The Xperia active Billabong special edition will be equipped with an exclusive Billabong screensaver, a variety of video, exclusive back cover, as well as an application that allows users to more easily find the latest news related to surfing sports. 

This device also has the ability to  resistant to scratches, resistant to shocks, water and dustproof using an IP67 standard and also equipped with a wet finger tracking technology.

Almost the same as the original version the Xperia active Billabong special edition also come with 3 inch HVGA Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, power by 1GHz single core processor with 512MB of RAM memory, and run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, which reportedly will also get an update to 4.0 ICS version in March or April.

Moreover, other features offer are 1GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, HSDPA, GPS, barometer, compass, flashlight, an integrated FM radio with RDS, Timescape, DLNA support, and a 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording.

The Xperia active Billabong special edition claimed to be an ideal smartphone for extreme sports enthusiasts, and reportedly already available in some markets of certain regions(probably Australia and New Zealand).
