After previously been rumored, Motorola finally officially announced a new smartphone with Slide out QWERTY design, and is the next generation of the Photon series. The latest smartphone is the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE, and as the name suggests the device is supported by the 4G LTE and runs on the Sprint network.
The new Photon smartphone features a 5-row QWERTY keyboard with LED edge lighting, so when typing in a dark room will remain clearly visible. While the screen size is also quite wide which is sized of 4.3" (540 x 960px) by adopting the ColorBoost display technology, so it will be seen richer colors and words are more clear.
The Photon Q 4G LTE run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and reinforced with 1.5GHz Dual-Core processor and its performance is also supported by 1GB Ram. Motorola provides 8GB storage capacity and still can be expanded via microSD up to 32GB, and also equipped with 8MP rear camera with 1080p video capture, plus 1.3 MP HD web cam on the front.
This smartphone also supports NFC connection making it possible to share mobile phones and payments with ease. While the other features on offer include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, Micro USB, micro HDMI and 1785 mAh battery who claimed to be capable of up to 7.5 hours talk time and up to 220 hours standby time. But unfortunately Sprint and Motorola have not revealed the price and release date.
