Mobile Communications will also release
a dual sim smartphone device, the Sony Xperia tipo Dual. This device is another
version of the Xperia tipo which only has single sim slot, but for the other
specifications are the same.
The Sony Xperia tipo Dual comes with a
relatively small design, with dimension of 103 x 57 x 13 mm. Its SIM card slot
is located inside the top of the battery, unfortunately not using the hot-swap
concept. However, to facilitate users access or select the SIM card that will
be used to communicate, the Sony Xperia tipo Dual has a special button on the
right side of the body and also provides its own settings in the menu.
The Sony Xperia tipo Dual is an entry level
smartphone, but interestingly, although classified as entry-level device, the
smartphone run on Android ICS version and supported by 800 MHz Qualcomm
Snapdragon MSM7225AA.
As
an entry
level smartphone that will be
marketed at an affordable price,
the device come with 3.2” capacitive touchscreen with anti-scratch
technology, 3.2 megapixel camera on the rear, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n,
Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, 3G
