Firefox Mobile OS from Mozilla Will be Present in 2013

Mozilla, the company that we are more familiar as a developer of a the Firefox browser application, surprisingly reported plan would create an open source operating system for mobile devices, called the Firefox OS. This operating system is re-naming of the "Boot to Gecko" (B2G), which was originally also the project open web-based mobile operating system from Mozilla.

Mozilla said the Firefox is going to be 'fully open mobile ecosystem, "constructed with open web standards(HTML5), which is the standard to support the functions of maximum web pages. And they expect the first devices with the Firefox OS will be released in 2013.

According to some sources, the project has received support from some mobile device manufacturers such as ZTE and TCL, which both come from China, and ready to produce devices which will run on the Firefox operating system.

Some mobile operators also reported providing support for the Firefox OS, they are the Deutsche Telecom (T-Mobile's parent company), Etisalat (which operates in 18 countries including the Middle East, Asia and Africa), Sprint in the U.S. and Telefónica in Spain.

With the presence of this new operating system seems the Android will have a new rival, both are open source and can be used free of charge by mobile phone vendors.
