Tianyu one of the smartphone manufacturer from China seems increasingly shows their quality in the smartphone market competition, which was reported to announce a new Quad Core smartphone, called the K-Touch Hornet II. This device is ready to compete with other Quad Core smartphones is already circulating in the market, and interestingly this latest device from Tianyu according to some sources is a Quad Core smartphone at an affordable price.
Although cheap this device is a high end smartphone category, which run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich and powered by quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 with 1 GB of RAM memory. The K-Touch Hornet II come with 4.5 inch touch screen with resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels and protected by Gorilla Glass, and also provides 16 GB of integrated flash memory, 8MP rear camera (video 1080p FHD), front camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,and 1800 mAh battery capacity.

When viewed from the design and specifications owned, this smartphone is similar to the Treasure V8 which was on display at MWC Barcelona, even some sources say if they are the same device. The K-Touch Hornet II will be ready to compete with other smartphones on the same class such as Meizu MX 4-core and Xiaomi M2 and will be launched in mid-August 2012, at a price of around 3000 Yuan ($484).
