LG and Tracfone a prepaid US carrier officially announced a new entry level smartphone and is one of the variants of the Optimus series, and known as the LG Optimus Zip. This device comes with a screen measuring 3.2-inch touchscreen 320 x 480 resolution, and slide out QWERTY keyboard which will allow users to type faster.
As an entry level smartphone, the device is powered by a single core 800MHz processor and run on Android Gingerbread operating system. When viewed from the design and specifications owned, this smartphone is similar to the LG Enlighten which has been launched by Verizon, and also the LG Optimus Slider released by Virgin Mobile.
