MegaFon Mint-the First Intel Smartphone for Russia

Most people would know Intel, that is a big vendor of the processor chip and one of the market leader of the brain computer devices. This company some time ago has entered the market for smartphone processors and some brands are already using it are the Lava Xolo X900 and the Orange San Diego. And now the Intel processors for smartphones, is present in the Russian market with the launch of the MegaFon Mint smartphones.

This device is the first smartphone in Russia that is powered by an Intel processor, and has been launched by the MegaFon(Russian carrier) at a price of 17,990 rubles (about $565 or €455). The MegaFon Mint run on Android Gingerbread operating system, powered by Intel Medfield platform 1.6GHz single-core Atom Z2460 processor which features Hyper-Threading tech, and sports a 4.03-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 600 x 1024 pixels.

The first Intel smartphone for Russia equipped with an 8 megapixels camera capable of recording 1080p video, 1.3-megapixel front facing camera for video chat, and offers several connectivity such as Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, MicroHDMI and MicroUSB. 

 
The MegaFon Mint provides 16GB of internal storage, whose performance is also supported by 1GB of RAM memory, and in it there is also a 1.460 mAh battery capable for up to 8 hours of talk time, 45 hours of music playback, or 5 hours of surfing internet on 3G network.

With the presence of these devices will add variants for smartphones powered by Intel processors, and it seems Intel is also getting serious about entering the smartphone market.
