Nokia Asha 200(Review)-QWERTY Phone Dual Sim with Easy Swap

Nokia Asha 200 is one of the Asha variant, which has the advantage with dual sim easy swap feature and was introduced at the Nokia World 2011. When seen from its name, Asha is a Hindi language which means a hope. This device is also a low end mobile phone at an affordable price and suitable for young people because it has some trendy colors and bright.

Design : the Nokia Asha 200 has dimension of 115.4 x 61.1 x 14.0 mm and weight of about 105 grams. On the front of the phone have a screen measuring 2.4" with 6x5mm QWERTY keypad and the keypad is comfortable to use for long text typing in a long time. This phone also has an Easy Swap, which allows the replacement of the SIM card without turn off the phone.

95% of the phone body is made of plastic, including the on-screen, with curved edges, so it looks ergonomic design. In addition, also presents a 5-way navigation keypad with the power button, menu button quickly to messages and contacts button on the right side and a quick button to SIM Management, endcall, and quick keys to the favorites menu on the left side.

At the top of the phone there are a charger port, 3.5 mm audio port, and port data cable. And on the right side of the phone have a memory card port and SIM 2 port which separate from the SIM 1. This makes it a uniqueness from other phones, which has dual sim adjacent positions.

Screen and UI : the Nokia Asha 200 come with 2.4” screen with a resolution of 320 x 240. but there is no touch-screen technology on this phone, so only with qwerty as input devices. Homescreen on Nokia Asha can be enabled or disabled on the Main Menu> Settings> Display> Home screen> Home screen mode. If the main display mode is enabled, then the main screen only shows the battery indicator, time, date and description of the signaling network sim card.

For the personalization features that will be displayed on the main screen you can set from the Main Menu> Settings> Display> Home screen>Personalize Display. Personalize the main screen is not only limited to features or applications that can be presented, but even the color and font size that can change as the user desires.

Camera : the Nokia Asha 200 equipped with 2MP camera  with several features such as effects (Sepia, Normal, Abu Scale and Negative), white balance (Auto, Daylight, Glow Lights, and Fluorescent), Timer (3, 5 and 10 seconds). Unfortunately the camera is not equipped with LED Flash, so as to capture images at a place that has a low light, the results are less good.

Pixel image results are not only 2MP (1200 × 1600), but still can be setup to 0.1 MP (240 × 320), 0.3 MP (480X600), 0.3 MP (480x640), and 1.2 MP (1280 × 960 ).

Connecitvity : the Nokia Asha 200 work on  GSM 900/1800, GPRS, EDGE, although not supported by 3G for users who like to surf the web, these devices use the latest version of the Nokia browser, who claimed to be capable of compressing data up to 90% so  the surving in the web becomes more rapid and efficient.

Other connectivity offered are microUSB, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, MTP (Multimedia Transfer Protocol), unfortunately does not have a Wi-Fi, considering the device is also a low end mobile phone at an affordable price.

Other features : Nokia has a variety of social media applications into an application called 'Social'. In the Social apps, you can find the Facebook app, RenRen, Twitter, Orkut and Flickr. Interestingly, the user can activate the 5 social media applications simultaneously to the display list. Other features are Nokia Money, FOTA, Nokia Music, Nokia Life Tools, Themes, Flight Mode and Nokia Store.
