Sprint has officially announced the
availability of the latest rugged phone made by Kyocera, and called the DuraXT.
As a tough phone the Kyocera DuraXT come with Military Standard 810G
certification including shock, dust, vibration, humidity, temperature extremes,
solar radiation, salt fog, and water immersion who claimed to be able to
survive in water for up to 30 minutes, at a depth of up to one meter
The Kyocera DuraXT is a clamshell or flip
phone design, encased in a rubber and non-slip Dura-Grip material, and brings
push-to-talk capabilities. This phone has two screens, 2" internal screen
QVGA TFT 240 x 320 resolutions and
1" external monochrome display with a resolution of 96 x 64 pixels.
Moreover, it also has several features such
as 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 2.5mm headphone jack, Sprint
Direct Connect, powerful speakerphone, and also 1360mAh battery capable up to
8.08 hours of talk time.
