LG Optimus L9 the Next Generation for the L Series

After success with three L series smartphones(Optimus L3, L5, L7), LG today launched the latest generation of this series called the Optimus L9. This device has better specs than the previous generation and comes with a larger screen size of 4.7 inches with IPS (in-plane switching) technology.

When viewed from the design, as the Optimus L series smartphone this device has a typical design of this series, that is square-shaped with a modern concept, with a thickness of only 9.1 mm, and claimed to be comfortable to grip with its slim and stylish design.

This smartphone also brings the advanced features such as a language translator from LG named the QTranslator, who not only have the ability to translate the words, but also sentences to phrases for 44 languages. Interestingly this feature is also supported by Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology that can recognize the scanned letters using smartphone cameras.

The Optimus L9 also has other interesting features such as My Style Keypad, that is a new keyboard features and allows users to more easily adjust the placement in typing with one hand and also shows the layout separate the landscape. Moreover its also has a new UX interface features so users can optimize the utilization of mobile phones for a variety of needs, and QMemoTM.


When viewed from specifications, the Optimus L9 runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, powered by dual core 1GHz processor whose performance is also supported by 1GB Ram memory. On the back there's a 5MP camera, while inside there is a large battery with a capacity of 2150 mAh.

Unfortunately the prices are still unknown, but according to some sources as the L series smartphone, the Optimus L9 likely will have an affordable price.
