Samsung Exynos 5 Dual-Better Performance, Higher Resolution, More Power Efficient

After recently introduced the Exynos 4 quad-core processor, which is a brain that is used by the Samsung Galaxy SIII, now they are reportedly being prepared the latest generation of processors for mobile devices, ie the Exynos 5 Dual. This processor promises better performance, more power efficient than previous generation, and have been using the latest ARM technology, which able to support screen resolution up to 2560 × 1600 pixel (WQXGA).

The Exynos 5 dual-core will use the ARM Cortex A-15 architecture at a speed of 1.7 GHz, built with 32nm technology, and according to some sources also claimed to have DMIPS (Dhrystone quadrillion Instruction per Second) 40 percent higher than the core Cortex-A9, and currently used in a variety of SoC(system-on-a-chip) such as Tegra3, TI, and previous Exynos.

In terms of graphics, the SoC Exynos 5 using the ARM Mali T604 graphics processor and supports OpenCL and OpenGL ES 2.0, as well as video playback 1080p FullHD (1920 × 1080 pixels) 60fps. Moreover, the chip is also equipped with a memory bandwidth of 12.8GB/s with 2-port 800MHz LPDDR3, DirectX 11 support which allows for use on Windows 8 OS , and the Exynos connectivity features USB 3.0 and SATA control III so to data transfer will be faster.

For those of you who like to capture images via mobile devices such as smartphones or tablet, with this processor a device will be able to processing the image size of 8 megapixels at 30fps, and has a shutter lag is very short like a DSLR.
