Survey Shows Majority of Smartphone Users Prefer the Standard Definition Video(SD)

As smartphone users surely you are using it for multimedia needs, and one of them is to watch the video. In watching the video as we know there are a variety of video formats that exist, from standard definition (SD) up to high definition (HD). But for the choice of video format is a taste of each, because each video format has the advantages.

But in fact a study shows that most people prefer the Standard Definition Video(SD) compared with the High Definition(HD). The research conducted by Harris Interactive and Skyfire in May and June this year, and the result is arguably surprising about the size of the videos they watch on mobile devices such as smartphone.

The survey was participated by more than 900 smartphone users in the U.S. and 1,000 smartphone owners in the UK. And the result is apparently 86% of smartphone users or 7 between 8 people is prefer Standard Definition Video (SD), rather than High Definition (HD).

One of the most influential factor because the standard video can be downloaded faster and less buffering, so they prefer the speed of access rather than quality.

Its arguably reasonable because the writer herself and some of her friends have the same opinion, because I usually want to immediately see the video that is being downloaded, because curiosity of the video content but with a note the video image is not too bad.

Watch the video on mobile devices is also affected by age and gender, and the most accessed videos are at the age of 18 to 34 years, and 10 percent more men than women who likes to do video streaming.
